DEFIANCE - Michael "Mike" Patterson, age 78 of Defiance, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Mercy Defiance Hospital. He was born in Napoleon, Ohio on December 4, 1946, to the late Kenneth and Catherine (Holmes) Patterson. Mike was a 1964 graduate of Defiance High School. On May 31, 1969, he married Beth (Mumy) Patterson who preceded him in death on January 30, 2025. Mike proudly served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1966 to 1968 during the Vietnam War. Mike was a life member and was very involved with VFW #3360, and a member of Defiance Elks Lodge #147, Eagles #372 AmVets #1991 and Napoleon American Legion #300. He was extremely proud to be active with the Honor Guard. Mike and Beth enjoyed working together as owners of Mercury Cleaners in Defiance for over 30 years until his recent retirement. Mike was an avid fan of the NY Yankees and enjoyed fishing, traveling and taking cruises with his wife, enjoying lake life at Hamilton Lake, and spending time with his family
