DEFIANCE - Ruth Katherine Warnimont, age 90 of Defiance, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at The Laurels of Defiance. She was born on October 18, 1934 in Defiance, Ohio to Vernon and Mildred (Greiner) Marihugh. On February 21, 1954 she married Paul Warnimont who preceded her in death in 2020. They were married for 66 years.Ruth worked as an office manager at a variety of companies; All Star Products, Kellermeyer Chemical and Defiance Warehouse/Overhead Door until her retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Defiance but had attended Ney Church of God for over the past 40 years. Ruth enjoyed sewing, playing piano and singing, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. They also cherished their time together, playing games, going on adventures, etc. Ruth loved baking them cakes and hiding money inside for them to find.
