Hicksville - Marie Belle Clark, age 100, of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, March 10, 2025. She was a lifelong resident of Hicksville. She was born December 3, 1924, in Hicksville, the daughter of the late Elmer E. and Mae E. (Beltz) Brush. Marie was a 1943 graduate of Hicksville High School. She married Chalmer E. Clark on April 2, 1948, at Trinity Methodist Church in Hicksville. Chalmer preceded her in death on January 5, 1994.Marie held numerous jobs over the years working at Magnavox, The Handle Factory, The Hicksville Water Department as well as owning and operating with her husband Clark Grocery Store for 11 years. In her earlier years you could find Marie alongside her mother cooking and baking pies for local restaurants and the community. For many years she was the clerk for Forest Home Cemetery in Hicksville. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary and a past president of the VFW Auxiliary.
