Hicksville - Bonnie Jean Poper, 94, of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025, in her home surrounded by her family. Bonnie was born January 18, 1931, in Woodburn, Indiana, daughter of the late Glen and Lula (Donat) Kees. She was a 1951 graduate of Hicksville High School. Bonnie married Ira Allen Poper on July 21, 1956, in Angola, Indiana and they were married for 46 years until Ira's passing on October 4, 2002. Bonnie was a devoted wife and mother, taking care of the home, farm and her family. She was a devoted member of First Church of Christ Hicksville, where she served as Deaconess, Librarian, and on Women's Council. Bonnie was a member of the Bryan VFW Post 2489-Ladies Auxiliary (Lifetime Member), All Together Club, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 248 (60 year member), Community Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered at the Bargain Box until she was 90 years old.
