Vermilion - Jerry Lee Eitzman, aged 88, passed away on August 14, 2024. Born on February 9, 1936, in Holgate, Ohio, Jerry led a life marked by curiosity, education, and service.A proud alumnus of the University of Toledo, Jerry earned a Master's degree in Education Administration.Jerry was endlessly curious about society, civilization, nature, and the world in general. This curiosity led him to seek adventures on six continents, along with Billie, his devoted wife of 63 years. A lifelong athlete, Jerry turned his high school and college sports experience into a fulfilling career as a coach and history teacher. After retirement, he remained active, whether golfing, fishing, or reading. And he loved a good debate. He especially enjoyed time with family, friends, his six grandchildren, and his seven great-grandsons.Jerry is survived by his wife Billie, and their sons, Michael (Mariann), Mark (Karen), and Matt.
