Joann Behnfeldt, 84, of Defiance and formerly Napoleon, Ohio, passed away at The Laurels in Defiance.She was born in Raleigh County, West Virginia, on Oct. 21, 1939, to the late Mack and Myrtle (Hart) Bolen.Joann was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon, where she enjoyed volunteering with the Stephan Ministry. She worked at Campbell Soup Supply Co. and retired in 1997.After retirement she worked at the Henry County Hospital in the Dietary Department, and continued to volunteer her time to various causes. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing crafts and working around the house. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.Joann is survived by her son, Lyndel (Ruby) Carpenter; grandchildren, Amanda (David) Harner and Andrew Huff; great-grandson, Aiden Harner; and siblings, William (Donna) McHone, Richard McHone, Cheryl McHone and Pamela (Steven) Johnson.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Behnfeldt; and brothers, Jimmy Bo
