Joann Behnfeldt, 84, of Defiance and formerly Napoleon, Ohio passed away at The Laurels in Defiance. She was born in Raleigh County, West Virginia on October 21, 1939 to the late Mack and Myrtle (Hart) Bolen.Joann was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon where she enjoyed volunteering with the Stephan Ministry. She worked at Campbell Soup Company and retired in 1997. After retirement she worked at the Henry County Hospital in the Dietary Department and continued to volunteer her time to various causes. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing crafts, and working around the house. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.Joann is survived by her son, Lyndel (Ruby) Carpenter; grandchildren, Amanda (David) Harner and Andrew Huff; great grandson, Aiden Harner; and siblings, William (Donna) McHone, Richard McHone, Cheryl McHone, and Pamela (Steven) Johnson.
