Stephen Addington Obituary
Stephen J. Addington, age 93 of Defiance, peacefully passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
He was born on April 27, 1931 to the late Lawton and Bonnie (Kilgore) Addington in Nickelsville, Virginia. Stephen proudly served in the U.S. Army PFC3 during the Korean War from 1954-1955. On January 3, 1954 he married Phyllis Blankenbeckler, who preceded him in death on September 26, 2009.
Stephen was a member of Kings Cross Church. He moved to Defiance in 1962 from Nickelsville, VA and began working at Zeller Corporation for 27 years until his retirement. He loved spending time with his family.
Stephen is survived by his sons, Steven L. Addington of Defiance, William E. Addington of Defiance, Dale S. Addington of Napoleon, Richard Addington of Holgate, and Daniel (Tammy) Addington of Holgate. He was very proud of his sons and their accomplishments.
