DEFIANCE - Jeffery L. Maag, 67, of Defiance, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. He was born in Defiance on January 23, 1957, to the late Leonard and Patricia (Westrick) Maag. On October 10, 1992, he married Linda Oberlin, who survives. Jeff worked at Johns Manville for 41 years until his retirement in 2016. He loved fishing at Oxbow Lake and several other locations. He also enjoyed swimming in Florida. Jeff will be sadly missed by his family and friends.Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Linda Maag of Defiance, his sister, Mary (Steve) Paneno of Sun City, Arizona, and his brother, Eugene (Valerie) Maag of Atlanta, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Patricia Maag of Holgate, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance.
