Ridgeville Corners - David Meyer, 70, of Ridgeville Corners, Ohio, passed away on Thursday afternoon, June 20, 2024, at CHP of Defiance. He was born January 20, 1954, to Maynard and Lucille (Otte) Meyer of Ridgeville Corners. In 1973, he married Kirsten Weldy.David was a 1972 graduate of Archbold High School. After high school, he worked for his dad at Meyer Farm Service selling and servicing Case tractors and utility equipment. In 1985, Dave and his brother Dennis took of the business and renamed it Meyer Equipment taking on the Kubota line of tractors and mowers. They expanded their business to a store in Portage, Ohio, and later sold it to another dealer. Denny passed away in September of 2023 and Dave continued to run the business.Although he didn't love the water, Dave enjoyed spending time at their Lake George cottage near Coldwater, Michigan. He had a lot of great neighbors and made a lot of friends as everyone enjoyed his sense of humor and his kindness. He loved drinking beer
